Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to purchases made from Olive’s Attic Bridal.

Olive’s Attic Bridal specialises in individually sourced pre-loved, ex-sample and unworn wedding dresses. As each dress is unique, we want you to understand exactly what you are buying before completing your purchase.

Our Dresses

Our collection includes pre-loved, ex-sample and unworn dresses.

Where known, we provide information about the designer, labelled size, condition and history of a dress. We inspect our dresses carefully and will disclose any significant marks, damage, wear or alterations that we identify.

Pre-loved and sample dresses may show minor signs of handling, storage or previous wear. These are part of the nature of buying a pre-loved or sample garment and do not necessarily constitute a fault.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights where a dress is faulty, not as described or otherwise does not meet the standards required by law.

Bridal Sizing & Measurements

Bridal sizing varies significantly between designers and may differ from ordinary high-street clothing sizes.

Any measurements we provide are intended as a guide. We cannot guarantee that a dress will fit based solely on its labelled size or measurements.

Where possible, we strongly recommend trying a dress on before purchasing.

Alterations

Most wedding dresses require some alteration to achieve the perfect fit.

Unless we specifically agree otherwise, alterations are not included in the purchase price and Olive’s Attic Bridal is not responsible for alteration costs.

Any discussion about whether a dress may be altered is guidance only. The final decision about what alterations are possible should be made with a suitably experienced bridal seamstress.

Purchases Made in Person

We want you to take your time when choosing your dress during your appointment.

Once you have inspected and tried on a dress and completed your purchase in person, the sale is final and we do not offer refunds or exchanges simply because you subsequently change your mind.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

Distance & Postal Purchases

If you purchase a dress remotely — for example by telephone, WhatsApp, social media or online — additional consumer cancellation rights apply.

You normally have 14 days from receiving your dress to tell us that you wish to cancel your purchase. You then have a further 14 days to return the dress.

Please see our Returns & Refunds policy for full details.

Trying On a Posted Dress

You may carefully try your dress on at home to assess it in the same way that you would during an appointment.

Please take care to protect it from make-up, fake tan, perfume, deodorant, smoke, food, pets and anything else that may mark or damage it.

Where a returned dress has been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to assess it and its value has consequently been reduced, we reserve the right to make an appropriate deduction from the refund in accordance with your statutory rights.

Prices & Payment

All prices will be clearly confirmed before purchase.

Full payment is required before a dress is taken away or dispatched unless we have specifically agreed another arrangement with you.

Reserving a Dress

If we agree to reserve a dress for you, the length of the reservation and any deposit required will be confirmed at the time.

Where a deposit is taken, we will make clear before payment whether and in what circumstances that deposit is refundable.

A dress is not considered reserved until any agreed deposit has been received.

Collection

Where a dress is being collected, we will agree a collection arrangement with you.

Once a dress has been collected, responsibility for its safe storage, transportation and subsequent care passes to the purchaser.

Delivery

Postal orders are sent using an appropriate tracked and insured service.

Delivery charges will be confirmed before purchase.

Please see our Delivery page for further information.

Photography & Colour

We make every reasonable effort to photograph dresses accurately. However, colours — particularly shades of ivory, champagne, blush and nude — can appear differently depending on lighting, photography and the screen on which an image is viewed.

If colour is particularly important to you, please ask us for further photographs or video before purchasing remotely.

Your Statutory Rights

Nothing within these Terms & Conditions, our Returns & Refunds policy or any other Olive’s Attic Bridal policy is intended to restrict your statutory consumer rights.
